Who are we?
Counsellor/Psychotherapist
Who am I?
I’m Lette Jewell (she/they), growing up in a fundamentalist faith and a survivor of family voilence and asault. I sought out ways to support a compassionate psychotherapist and counsellor of mixed Māori (Ngāti Ranginui and Maniapoto) and European descent. With over 20 years of experience in leadership roles, coaching, and education, I have spent the last ten years focusing on private therapy, particularly in counselling over the past eight years.
Recently, I have delved into the impact of complex trauma on the body. I’ve been studying somatic psychotherapy, which emphasises awareness of the body, personal reflection, and understanding the body’s nervous system through polyvagal theory. This knowledge enables me to help others reconnect with their bodies and promote inner healing. I have a deep understanding of trauma, healing, and resilience. As a Two-Spirited, Takatāpui, and LGBTQIA+ individual, I create a safe and welcoming space for people of all identities and experiences.
I am proud to be married into an Aboriginal family with roots in the Dharug and Gamilaroi nations. This connection has given me a deep respect and understanding of First Nations knowledge, which guides my work as a culturally aware professional.

Scooter is a cherished 17-year-old Bichon Frise and Cavalier mix, making him about
112 in human years. Despite being blind and hard of hearing, Scooter remains a beloved, gentle soul with a loving and watchful personality. While his days now include plenty of naps—and the occasional bout of barking at nothing in particular—he is still an essential part of the team, managing things from home with his playful “taskmaster” spirit.
Though he doesn’t join client sessions, he ensures his family stays on track, often letting them know when it's time to work a few extra hours!
